BC Capital Management
The president of BC Capital Management is Timothy J. Currie. Mr. Currie graduated from University of Florida in 1983 with a degree in Finance and started his career with Bear Stearns in New York City. In 1987, he was promoted to the Tokyo trade desk as a Treasury Bond Trader for Bear Stearns' institutional client base. In 1990, Mr. Currie took his experience to Friedberg Mercantile where he developed trading systems for the company's clients. In March of 1999, he became an independent financial consultant, later forming BC Capital Management.
The BC Capital Management trading philosophy specializes in writing option premium in the S&P 500 stock index to generate potential profits. The implementation of the program is based on proprietary technical and fundamental considerations. The trading model generates signals that are intermediate in time frame, with typical trades not lasting longer than a month.
According to BC Capital Management, its option spread program is not highly correlated with many other stock market approaches and offers traders an alternate choice to other trading strategies. The program is in its eighth year of trading and has frequently been named as one of the top-rated Stock Index CTA programs by independent rating services such as Barclay Trading Group. The minimum investment for BC Capital Management is $20,000.
